Telehealth

There are as many reasons to choose telehealth as there are types of clients. Having a provider with telehealth options allows clients to attend sessions when they are symptomatic for communicable illnesses (like COVID-19, RSV, or the flu) but still well enough to meet with their provider. Respiratory illness isn’t the only reason to see a psychologist virtually. Others choose telehealth for more general health concerns, because they are immunocompromised, have mobility or transportation access difficulty, seek specialties an out-of-area provider has that aren’t available locally, or because child care concerns make it harder to come in to a physical office. While the preferred mode of treatment is still in-person visits, there are reasons telehealth might be right for you.

My practice is hybrid both inter- and intra-client. Most of the clients I work with utilize primarily one modality or the other, but we keep the option available to switch modalities when needed. For example, if your care is typically in person but you need a virtual session, I can accommodate those changes.
